How To Protect Your Wallet/Purse
Italy is well known for its fine food, exsqusitie architecture and famous artworks. What it is lesser known for by those just arriving but well know by many leaving its problem of theft. Pick pocketing is a major problem in cities such as Rome, Venice, Florence and especially the Vatican. It is extremely important when walking through croweded streets and famous attractions not to keep you valubles in your paockets. Another solution that you may see other travellers doing is to wear your backpack on your chest as common techniques used by thieves in Europe is to slice open the bottom of a person backpack. I have personally wittnessed old ladies dipping their hands into the handbags of unsuspecting girls waiting in line for the Sistine chapel. I know they are seen as ‘uncool’ and dorky but travel waist belt wallets are extremelty effective, keep them under your shirt or clothes and you have a much better chance of your cash and cards.
